Retro Reminisces / Sega Saturn article« on: May 17, 03:11pm »
I found this article on the Sega Saturn take a look
http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/may/14/sega-saturn-how-one-decision-destroyed-playstations-greatest-rival Its a great system for 2D games ! Games were released with a 4MB Ram cart that increased the Ram of the system and the quality of the conversions. Xmen vs Streetfighter ran brilliantly on Saturn with the tag team action working great on PS1 it was heavily watered down as it did not have the ram to fit the animation frames into its memory Saturn had a total of 4MB of ram or 8 with the cart seems nothing now when phones have 2 or more Gig of Ram ! 3

I found a channel on Youtube which has many videos about older consoles, in effect they review old systems
Nintendo, Sony, Neo Geo ect all all represented and they go through some of each systems games as well and its interesting. I think it makes you appreciate new systems more when you look back at how limited systems were just 15 years ago! Check out the channel and watch some of the videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT6LaAC9VckZYJUzutUW3PQ I like the left in the arcade series which focuses on some lesser known games here is one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgnQSmb3UM4&list=UUT6LaAC9VckZYJUzutUW3PQ 8
Retro Reminisces / Re: RETRO Gaming music« on: August 05, 10:45am »
Tetris music was great even though GB sound chip was simple it could put out some good tunes. I used to enjoying playing it in multiplayer at school where we would link GB's up! Those were the days of multiplayer back then. Its amazing how much has changed since then!
